27 August 2012 Esperanto at the swap
Nearly 150 people came to the Wyspiański Pavilion last Sunday to exchange books during this year's last summer edition of The Second Life of a Book campaign. This time, books brought to the swap included not just ideal end-of-summer reads, foreign literature and children books, but also...textbooks. The hit of the day was an Esperanto language course book which quickly found a new owner.
There are more attractions in store for bookworms in the upcoming days. This Saturday (the 1st of September), come and join us for Książkobranie (Book-picking). We will be waiting for you in the Artefakt café (ul. Dajwór 3) between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: those wishing to participate have to submit a list of books they intend to bring to the swap by Wednesday (the 29th of August). The title of the message (sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org) should read: Książkobranie!; please include: the title of the book, its genre and author in the body of the message.
The next edition of The Second Life of a Book will be held on the 30th of September, on International Translation Day.
