18 September 2012 Revamped website of the Conrad Festival
We would like to invite you to visit the Conrad Festival revamped website announcing this year’s edition of the event! The website contains all the information you should be familiar with while planning the festival stay. The programme is not short of great events. Next to meetings with world’s most prominent writers, it also plans exhibitions, concerts, and a review of Werner Herzog’s films at the Pod Baranami Cinema.
We would like to remind that this year’s 4th edition of the Festival organised by the Krakow Festival Office and the Tygodnik Powszechny Foundation has all the makings of the most important literary event of the year. The Festival starts on the 22nd of October to last one week (until the 28th of October). Readers will have the opportunity to meet not only the Nobel Prize Winner Orhan Pamuk, but also Péter Esterházy, Jeannete Winterson, Magdalena Tulli, Michal Viewegh, Dubravka Ugrešić, Oksana Zabużko, and Alain Mabanckou. The Book Fair, recognised as one of the most important events in the book sector, will be held in parallel to the festival.
