All literature lovers attending the Conrad Festival in Krakow are invited to visit the festival bookshops: Matras (Rynek Główny 23), Księgarnia Hetmańska (Rynek Główny 17), Empik Megastore (Rynek Główny 5), Księgarnia Wydawnictwa Znak (ul. Sławkowska 1), Księgarnia pod Globusem (ul. Długa 1), Główna Księgarnia Naukowa (ul. Podwale 6) and Księgarnia Bona (ul. Kanonicza 11 and ul. Krupnicza 9). All throughout the festival week, they will offer books of the writers staying in Krakow during this literary feast.
This year’s edition of the Conrad Festival, one of the major literary events in the world, will start on the 22nd of October and will last a week (until Sunday, the 28th of October). The motto of this year’s edition is Think: Literature! Some of the most outstanding Polish and foreign writers, including: Zygmunt Bauman, Orhan Pamuk, Jeanette Winterson, Krzysztof Wodiczko, Peter Eszterhazy, Robert D. Kaplan, Dubravka Ugrešić, Eustachy Rylski, Krzysztof Varga, Andrzej Stasiuk, Dorota Masłowska, Wojciech Jagielski, Magdalena Tulli and Michał Witkowski have confirmed that they will be coming to Krakow.
