23 October 2012 The great festival of literature is under way

The first of the five planned Reading Lessons; the opening of the new literary mural, Bogusław Bachorczyk’s Natural History According to W.G. Sebald exhibition, Andrzej Pilichowski-Ragno’s The Magnificent Forty-Year-Old exhibition and Anna Kaszuba-Dębska’s High-Hills. Women from the Schulz Circle project, and the evening meeting with Marek Bieńczyk, the recipient of the prestigious NIKE Literary Award... The fourth edition of the Conrad Festival started with real highlights. Just after 8 p.m. even the Town Hall Tower turned into... the most unusual book – until Sunday, at the same time, poems by Piotr Sommer will be projected on the building. Soon afterwards, as every year, the tower flashed up with the lights of a lighthouse visible within a radius of more than two kilometres, announcing that the festival of literature is under way in the city.
