19 February 2013 Literary Scholarships 2013 – apply!

The Villa Decius Association and the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation invite German writers, translators of German literature into Polish, and translators of Polish literature into German to apply for residence scholarships at Villa Decius in Krakow.

The duration of the residence scholarship is 3 months, either from May to July or from September to November 2013. Staying together with an international group of literary creators is a great opportunity to establish contacts and begin mutual co-operation and it is also a source of inspiration and motivation to reach multi-cultural agreement and become acquainted with common heritage.

The scholarships are also a means of popularisation and promotion – scholarship holders not only carry out their own literary projects, but also promote them on an international scale. Residences are accompanied by authors’ meetings with the general public, and texts written during the scholarships are published in collaborating magazines and portals.
