24 June 2013 Marcin Baran invites to the concert of Pablopavo

The first day of the jubilee RK’70 festival will be crowned by the concert of the Pablopavo i Ludziki group that has relead two highly acclaimed albums to date: Telehon and 10 piosenek. During the concert, the music of Pablopavo i Ludziki will accompany not only their original songs, but also Ryszard Krynicki’s poems that will be sung by songster Grzegorz Turnau and presented in the form of melodeclamation by poets – Marcin Baran, Wojciech Bonowicz, and Andrzej Sosnowski. We encourage you to come to the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art (ul. Lipowa 4) on Wednesday (the 26th of June) at 7:30 p.m.

Wikipedia says that Pablopavo is a Polish reggae and raggamuffin music singer, one of the first vocalists to sing raggamuffin in Polish. He specialises in very long and complicated vocal parts based on freestyle. It is possible that this is true.

The publisher of his albums says that Pablopavo is the leader and the rest of the band flow freely from hip-hop, through dubstep, funk, psychedelic rock, to end up in musical regions that are yet to be named. It is possible that this is also true.

Marcin Świetlicki says about Pablopavo that Finally, finally someone creates rhymes with intelligence and sensitivity, has a proper voice, makes delicious music; really, there were already too many of those sly, not too smart morons, but there came Pablopavo and the world will be a bit different from now on. And it is possible that this is true as well.

In an interview published in the PikUp! magazine, Pablopavo says about himself: I don’t have great requirements – bread, cheese, some vegetables, books, and albums. And this is something we should believe without reservations. In a word – we encourage you to come and meet this intense, talented, modest, and witty musician.
