18 February 2014 A Second Life of the Book in February and its francophone special edition

The weather outside is exceptionally mild this year, so for next Sunday (23 February) we suggest a winter or rather a spring walk that ends with a visit to the Tourist Service Centre (11 Powiśle Street), to participate in A Second Life of the Book. In exchange for your books, you might fish out some true jewels of literature. So see you at 3.00 pm sharp!

Books never grow old, but if you want to refresh your collection of books a little and share them with someone else, just take a book from your shelf and take part in the free-of-charge bookswap. Please remember that the books you bring should be in good condition. The maximum number is ten. If you bring books published before 1995, you can exchange them only for other books issued before 1995. If you bring new books (i.e. published after 1995) – you can choose whichever book you like -- new or old.

To make your fishing for books even more pleasant, the partner of A Second Life of the Book – the café- bookshop Czuły Barbarzyńca in Krakow, will offer you discounts for delicious coffee and books.

But this isn’t the last surprise! For all lovers of francophone books we have a special edition of the event. On Sunday, 16 March, let’s meet at the French Institute (15 Stolarska Street) under Francophony Month. NOTE: At the event we will only swap books originally written in French, -in Polish or French! Don’t miss out!
