Dorota Maslowska, the most famous Polish female writer of the young generation, novelist and playwright, award-winner of the Nike 2006 Literary Award for her novel Paw królowej (The Queen’s Peackock) has suspended her writing career for some time to begin a musical adventure. – The word is still my native genre, but I got tired by the literature industry. I might either plunge in depression or take some interesting occupation. So I started writing lyrics – said the writer.
Mister D is a band which consists of Dorota Masłowska, Marcin Macuk and Kuba Wandachowicz and others. It will soon release its album Społeczeństwo jest niemiłe (Society Isn’t Nice). The music is the combination of hip-hop, punk rock and dance music. The album is promoted by the single Chleb (Bread). Listen at Soundcloud.
Masłowska’s album Społeczeństwie Jest Niemiłe forms an integral part of the exhibition under the same title at the Raster Gallery in Warsaw. The exhibition opening: Saturday, 22 February, 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm.
