In my Voices from the Panamo I used for the first time something which may ne called ”the relativity of time”. The effect I wanted to achieve was that the readers should feel as if they were in all the different eras at one time, because they are widely scattered – in his interview for Newsweek weekly, Jaume Cabré explains how he forces the readers to embark on a quest and why he is not interesting in writing about the obvious things. On 13th August, the Polish readers received the Catalan writer’s book Voices from the Pamano (Polish: Głosy z Panamo) published by Wydawnictwo Marginesy.
