6 November 2009 Political literature?

Polish literary scholar, Przemysław Czapliński and Polish writers, Cezary Michalski and Rafał Ziemkiewicz, debated on the meaning of the relation between politics and literature as well as on the definition of so-called “political literature.” Prof. Czapliński suggested a historical review of the attitudes of writers and critics towards the political nature of literature that have emerged since the post-World War II years. Also discussed was the political turn in Poland that plays an increasingly significant role in Polish thinking about literature.
