5 October 2010 “I’m no prophet” – Amos Oz for Przekrój

“I can assure you that even if I never get the Nobel Prize, I will not die an unhappy man,” said Amos Oz in a conversation with Rafał Kostrzyński and Tadeusz Nyczek in today’s Przekrój. We recommend to everyone, who like us, are looking forward to the writer’s visit to Krakow, to read this interview. We would also like to remind you that on 20 October, Amos Oz will be meeting with readers in the auditorium of the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts (ul. Straszewskiego 21-22). The name of this year’s Nobel laureate will be announced this Thursday, 7 October at 1 p.m.

Amos Oz will come to Poland on 18 October, at the invitation of his main Polish publisher, Dom Wydawniczy Rebis. First he’ll meet with readers in Warsaw, and then in Krakow. Partners in the visit of Amos Oz to Krakow are the Krakow Festival Office and the Tygodnik Powszechny Foundation – the organisers of the Second Joseph Conrad International Literature Festival.
