3 November 2011 Conrad Festival on Polish Radio

Channels 2 and 3 of Polish Radio – official patrons of the Conrad Festival – have prepared special broadcasts dedicated to this year’s edition of the event, which brings together the greatest personalities of world literature.

On Channel 2, the most interesting events held as part of the festival will be discussed by Hanna Maria Giza (November 3rd, Sezon na Dwójkę, 6 pm), Marta Strzelecka, Adam Suprynowicz and Mike Urbaniak (November 4th, Kultura w wielkim mieście, 6 pm), as well as Michał Montowski and Michał Nowak (November 5th, Przestrzenie kultury, 12 pm).

Channel 3 also invites listeners to tune into its broadcasts and reports. Today on Trójka pod Księżycem (which starts at midnight) Barbara Marcinik will talk about the festival with such guests as Magdalena Sroka, Deputy Mayor of Krakow for Culture and City Promotion. The broadcast will offer a wealth of information on the most important highlights of the festival, as well as some pointers about what you cannot miss if you are in Krakow over the weekend. On Saturday, in Radiowy Dom Kultury, Michał Nogaś will talk about the events accompanying the festival, including the exhibition/installation entitled Preserved in Art by Naresh Kapuria and the Reading Lesson, focusing on literature for children, which will be held at the Bunker of Art on Sunday at noon. The first attempt at summarising the entire festival will be made by Barbara Marcinik in Magazyn Bardzo Kulturalny. The programme will be co-hosted by Wojciech Bonowicz, poet and columnist for Tygodnik Powszechny, a weekly.
