Andrzej Gowarzewski

(born in 1945) – journalist and sports historian, football expert. He was a reporter and journalist of Sport and Sportowiec magazines, accredited to all major sports events of the 1970s and 1980s. Since 1991, he has been publishing a series of books entitled Encyklopedia piłkarska as the originator of the idea and founder of the GiA publishing house in Katowice. He wrote over a dozen history and essay books devoted to football. For his work he was awarded the Club Prize by the Polish Journalists’ Association (1978, 1979).
