Dmitry Bykov

(born 1967) – Russian writer, poet, literary critic and publicist. His ЖД (ZhD) and Оправдание (Justification) have been published in Polish.Although he is not a politician, he is listed among the leaders of the cross-party anti-Putin opposition. Thanks to his civic attitude and accurate satirical comments on current issues, he became the voice of the Russian protest. In his books, he skillfully combines elements of crime stories, antiutopias and even thrillers with a reflection on the history and present of Russia.
