Grzegorz Olszański

(b. 1973) – poet, scholar, co-founder of the Na Dziko poetry group. In 1999 published the collection Tamagotchi w pustym mieszkaniu for which he received the Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna Award for the best debut. In 2002 he received the scholarship of Polityka weekly. Author of a book devoted to Ewa Lipska’s poetry Śmierć udomowiona, a collection of essays: Apelacje. Szkice o literaturze i przygodach jej twórców and the monograph Wiek męski: epopeja rozkładu. Studia o motywach senilnych w poezji polskiej po 1989 roku. In 2013 his poetry volume Starzy nieznajomi was nominated for the Silesius Wrocław Poetry Award in the Book of the Year category. He is the head of the music department in Opcje” quarterly and Deputy Director of the Institute of the Study of Polish Literature at the University of Silesia. In 2017 his new volume Biały album saw print.
