James Robertson

James Robertson is a poet, essayist and fiction writer. His novels include The Testament of Gideon Mack (long-listed for the Man Booker Prize, 2006), And the Land Lay Still (Saltire Society Scottish Book of the Year, 2010) and The Professor of Truth. He is editor of, and a contributing author to, Itchy Coo, an imprint specialising in books in the Scots language for children. He was writer-in-residence at the Scottish Parliament in 2004, and is an Honorary Research Fellow in Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow.
