Katarzyna Bielas

Journalist, reporter, cooperates with the Gazeta Wyborcza daily. She specializes in cultural topics – she has written about theatre, film, visual arts. She is a master interviewer; in her career she has conducted several dozens of interviews and the majority of them got a lot of publicity in the media. A winner of the Grand Press 2010, the Barbara N. Łopieńska Award and the Award of the Equality Foundation Hiacynt. She is a co-author (together with Jacek Szczerba) of two books-interviews — with actor Andrzej Łapicki Po pierwsze: zachować dystans (Firstly, Keeping a Distance, 1999) and writer Tadeusz Konwicki: Pamiętam, że było gorąco (I Remeber, It Was Hot, 2001). In 2007 she published an original collection of interviews Niesformatowani, (Unformatted) and two years ago – its continuation: Dzianina z mięsa (Knit from Mea).
