Krzysztof Gawronkiewicz

(born 1969) – an illustrator, a painter and an author of comic strips. In 1988, he debuted as an illustrator of short stories in Nowa Fantastyka, where his comic strips were also published. Together with Dennis Wojda (author of texts), they created Mikropolis – a very popular comic series that has won numerous awards (including the Grand Prix award at the International Festival of Comic Strip in Łódź in 2000). His collaboration with Grzegorz Janusz resulted in a series Przebiegłe dochodzenie Ottona i Watsona [The Shrewd Investigation by Otton and Watson] (part I: Esencja [Essence], 2005 and part II: Romantyzm [Romanticism], 2007). He is also the author of drawings for the comic book Achtung Zelig.
