Mateusz Pakuła
a plawyright, dramatist(b. 1983) – playwright and dramaturge, graduated in dramaturgy from the Faculty of Drama Directing at the State Higher School of Drama (PWST) in Krakow. Award-winning of the Gdynia Drama Award (for the text Smutki tropików) and the National Competition for Direction of Polish Contemporary Play (for the text Mój niepokój ma przy sobie broń). His five drama books were published: Wieloryb The Globe (2016), Panoptikos (2015), diptych Na końcu łańcucha (2012), Kowboj Parówka i trzy inne sztuki (2012) and Biały Dmuchawiec. Pięć sztuk teatralnych (2010). His plays have been translated into English, German, Czech, Spanish and Ukrainian. His recent productions include: Wieloryb The Globe (directed by E. Rysová), Kowboj Parówka (directed by W. Loga-Skarczewski), Lordy (directed by E. Rysová, M. Pakuła), Twardy gnat, martwy świat (directed by E. Rysová) Smutki tropików (directed by P. Świątek), Miasto Pustych Pianin (directed by L. Frankiewicz), Wejście Smoka. Trailer and KonradMaszyna (directed by B. Szydłowski), Mój niepokój ma przy sobie broń (directed by J. Mark), Jungle People (directed by P. Świątek), Na końcu łańcucha (directed by E. Rysová), and Miki mister DJ (directed by A. Olsten). As a dramaturge and author of adaptations co-created such spectacles as: Paw królowej, Dżuma, Rękopis znaleziony w Saragossie and Beniowski, król Madagaskaru (directed by P. Świątek). Recently he has also directed radio dramas (Lord Kantor, Pawi tren, Kowboj Parówka).
