Michał Kmiecik

Dramatist, playwright, director. His plays have been staged, e.g., in the National Stary Theatre in Krakow and the Contemporary Theatre in Szczecin. Author of stage adaptations: Przyjdzie Mordor i nas zje [Mordor Will Come and Eat Us] and Siódemka [Seven] by Ziemowit Szczerk, Wilq Superbohatera [Wilq the Superhero] by Bartosz and Tomasz Minkiewicz, Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut and Ale z naszymi umarłymi [But With Our Dead Ones] by Jacek Dehnel. In 2021, as a part of the ‘Hello Darkness, My Old Friend’ residency program in Komuna//Warsaw, he directed a performance Humans Are Dead, We’re the Humans Now. Winner of the Kulturalna Warszawa [Cultural Warsaw] Literature Scholarship of the Capital City of Warsaw for 2018.
