Michał Olszewskia journalist, publicist and prose writer
(b. 1977) – journalist, publicist, prose writer. Since 2007 connected with the Kraków branch of „Gazeta Wyborcza”, earlier the head of the reportage department at „Tygodnik Powszechny”. He had his debut as a writer in 2003 with the publication of his book Do Amsterdamu. He has many books and other publications to his credit, including Chwalcie łąki umajone (2005), Low-tech (2009) and Zapiski na biletach (2010), for which he was nominated for the Gdynia Literary Prize. He received the Ryszard Kapuściński Award for his literary reportage Najlepsze buty na świecie (2014). In 2017 his new novel #Upał saw print.
