Włodzimierz Nowak

(b. 1958) – a writer, journalist and reporter. He has worked in Gazeta Wyborcza for years; he wrote books such as: Obwód głowy [Circumference of the Head, 2007] (nominated for the Nike Literary Award), Serce narodu, koło przystanku [Heart of the Nation, Next to the Bus Stop, 2009] or Niemiec. Wszystkie ucieczki Zygfryda [German. Zygfryd's All Escapes, 2016]. One of the more appreciated journalists in Germany, the laureate of Grand Press (2004), the Tadeusz Mazowiecki Polish-German Journalist Award (2008) and the Georg Dehio Award (2010).
