Zośka Papużanka

Expert in theatre studies by education, teacher of Polish, author of song lyrics for Krakow cabarets and the Parawan Puppet and Actor Theatre. She is working on her doctoral thesis in literary studies. Her favourite authors include Vladimir Nabokov, Julio Cortazar, and Mario Vargas Llosa. She admits that she likes writing with a fountain pen most of all and that to her, the greatest form of art is painting. In 2012, she debuted with a novel Szopka, dealing with the subject of a dysfunctional Polish family. Thanks to Szopka, she was nominated for Polityka’s Passports in 2012 and for the 2013 Nike Literary Award. She has two sons, she lives in Krakow, and devotes her free time to literature and flamenco. Zośka Papużanka will participate in a discussion on 23rd October at 2:45 in The pod Baranami Palace.
