Nagroda Conrada 2017 we know the winner!

Anna Cieplak, the author of a debut novel "Ma być czysto" (published by Krytyka Polityczna), was announced the winner of the Conrad Award for the best literary début of 2016. The winning book was chosen by internet users, who voted for the five nominee débuts until midnight on October 28.

 

Jury

This year’s finalists were chosen by the Jury consisting of: Michał Paweł Markowski (The Chair of the Jury), Urszula Chwalba, Inga Iwasiów, Grzegorz Jankowicz, Krzysztof Koehler, Zofia Król, Michał Nogaś, and Joanna Szulborska-Łukaszewicz (Secretary). The Conrad Award gives a debut writer an opportunity to attract interest of a wider public. The award is aimed not only to support beginner writers but also a hint to the publishers, encouraging them to take a publishing risk.
