Book patronage
The Conrad Festival together with Krakow UNESCO City of Literature have taken patronage over 11 very special books this year. The books include Polish and foreign books in the categories of non-fiction, fiction and a graphic novel. You will have the opportunity to meet the authors of all publications during the Festival events.
Selected publication premiered under the patronage of this year’s Conrad Festival deal with diverse issues. They include titles concerning names of great Polish and foreign authors, some of them directly relating to the work of the festival patron – Joseph Conrad, as well as very intimate publications, exploring the author’s internal world or dealing with history and the author’s origins. Various forms of unrest – the leading theme of this year’s edition of the Conrad Festival --can be discovered in each book, whether it be existential unrest, or the unrest caused by the world’s condition or human nature as such.
