The largest Polish publishers, over five hundred authors and fans queueing up in enormous lines, international guests from England, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Romania, Scandinavia, Slovakia, the US and several thematic salons starting with a novelty in the form of a Comics Salon. On top of that there is the Guest of Honour – Lithuania, along with its publishers, writers, poets and illustrators. The programme of one of the most important cultural events in Poland – the International Book Fair in Krakow – looks very impressive. For the 19th time, the fair will take place at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Krakow, from the 22nd to the 25th of October!

Traditionally, readers will find a rich offer at the Academic and Scientific Publishers Salon, the Religious Publishers Salon, the New Media Salon (filled with modern technologies, applications, e-book readers and e-books), the Children’s and Youth Book Salon, and the Fair Guest of Honour Salon, hosted by Lithuania. A new addition will be the Comics Salon. The motto of this year’s edition of the Fair are the words of German writer Nina George: “Reading makes you impudent!”
