29 October 2012 To see is to read

"Reading and writing never end. Our minds are made of texts, so our relation to the world is constant reading. To see is to read," says Orhan Pamuk in an interview by Grzegorz Jankowicz in the special edition of the Tygodnik Powszechny which was published today by exception. In an extensive interview, Pamuk speaks of the museum he opened in Istanbul, which is focused around small, private narration. Unlike national stories commemorated in the greatest museums of the world, this collection is centred around individual dramas and the related feelings of a single, lonely man.
