Aleksandra Wojtaszek

Balkan Studies scholar, journalist and translator. She has a doctorate in literary studies, works at Jagiellonian University, and is the author of the reportage collection Fjaka. Sezon na Chrowację (Czarne 2023), which became a bestseller in Poland and Slovakia, and the scientific monograph Topografie przestrzeni wyobrażonych. Serbska i chorwacka fantastyka gatunkowa. Winner of the Kraków UNESCO City of Literature Prize and the European Poet of Freedom Award. She publishes her texts in Tygodnik Powszechny, Herito, Dwutygodnik and Polityka.
