Aleksandra Wojtaszek
translator, journalist and doctoral student. Graduate of Croatian Philology, she studied in Kraków, Zagreb and Belgrade. She is currently writing her doctoral thesis on contemporary literature in the former Yugoslavia. As a journalist, she published in many magazines such as: Tygodnik Powszechny, Ha!art, Duży Format, Herito and New Eastern Europe. She translates from Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Slovenian, mainly contemporary prose by authors such as Zoran Ferić, Josip Mlakić, Kristian Novak, Viktor Ivančić, but also press and scientific articles. She teaches language, literature and translation at the Jagiellonian University.
