Cezary Michalski
Born in 1963 in Toruń. He graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Polish philology, and also studied philosophy there. In the years 1988-1992, he lived in France, where he completed post-graduate Slavic studies at Sorbonne. He was the editor of the periodicals “Brulion” and “Debata”, he co-worked with “Tygodnik Literacki”, “Arcana”, “Życie”. In the years 1994-1997 he coordinated the editorial of cultural programmes on channel TVP 1. He also cooperated with Radio Plus and TV Puls. He was the deputy of the chief editor and commentator of the newspaper “Dziennik”, as well as the co-creator of “Europa”, the addition to “Fakt”, then “Dziennik”. Currently he publishes most often in “Krytyka Politczna”. He is the author of the following books: “Esoteric source of Nazism” (essay, 1993), “The Return of Man Without Properties” (collection of essays, 1997), “Exercises in Impartiality” (collection of essays, Krakow 1999), “The Ministry of Truth” (choice of journalism, Krakow 2000), “The Force of Repulsion” (novel, 2002), “The Lake of Radicals” (novel, 2004), “Worse Worlds” (collection of short stories, 2006).
