Eli Gornstein
Singer-actor. Has a master`s degree in Education, studied theatre in NY, and opera singing in the Israeli Opera workshops. He plays the cello from the age of 12. Won the first prize in the Theatronetto Festival 2008 with his one man show "getting crazy" (ITRUF) by David Grossman. Won the award of an outstanding actor in the Cameri Theatre for his role in The Producers. Gorntein`s main roles: Tevye in Fiddler on the roof (Bock), The father in Six characters in search of an author (Pirandello), Both of the Dukes in As You Like it (Shakespeare), Peron in Evita (Weber), Crook in Ghetto (Sobol) in the Opera Gornstein sang: Don Bazilio in The Barber of Seville (Rossini), Dr Bartolo in Marriage of Figaro (Mozart) and The Judge in Swenee-Tod (sondheim). Played in many Israeli famous films and TV shows. Portrayed many of Disney`s characters in Hebrew. Directed the operas; Hansel and Gretel (Humperding), La serva Padrona (Pergolezi), Magic Flute (Mozart) and Coffee Cantata (Bach).
