Helena Janeczek

(born in 1964) – writer with Polish and Jewish roots, who has been living in Italy for more than thirty years. Her novel The Girl with the Leica  (2017, Polish release: 2021), which tells the story of one of the pioneers of war photography, was awarded Italy's most prestigious literary prize, the Premio Strega.
