stage, film and TV actor, teacher and a director
(born in 1944) – stage, film and TV actor, teacher and a director. He became famous after appearing in plays directed by Mikołaj Grabowski, Rudolf Zioła, Krystian Lupa, Andrzej Wajda, Jerzy Grzegorzewski, Grzegorz Jarzyna, Jan Klata and Michał Zadara. As a member of avant-garde group MW2 he made a name for himself with his interpretations of texts by Bogusław Shaaeffer, especially the Scenariusz dla nie istniejącego lecz możliwego aktora instrumentalnego, a monodrama written specially for him, which combined a philosophical treatise with a manifesto of avant-garde theatre and musical composition, played for the last 40 years. There is no challenge in art he would not take up.
