Joy Sorman
Daughter of essayist Guy Sorman, she was first a professor of philosophy. Next, she started dealing with cultural events, and later devoted herself to writing. The range of her literary interests included the classics: L’Education sentimentale and Á la recherche du temps perdu by Marcel Proust. In 2005, she published her first book Boys, boys, boys (published by Gallimard). In the summer of 2010, she hosted a daily programme on France Inter “La jeunesse, tu l’aimes ou tu la quittes”. She also published Parce que ça nous plaît: L’invention de la jeunesse with François Bégaudeau (2010, Larousse), Paris Gare du Nord (2011), and Comme une bête (2012), honoured with the 2012 Goncourt List: the Polish Choice award.
