Justyna Czechowska
(born 1979) – literary scholar, cultural animator, translator from Swedish and Norwegian, author of articles, anthologies and interviews. Co-founder of the Polish Literary Translators Association. She has worked as a coordinator of international cultural projects and as a literary agent. Kristin Berget’s book Der ganze Weg, which she translated , was nominated for the second edition of the European Poet of Freedom City of Gdańsk Literary Award. She is the winner of the Wisława Szymborska Award for her translation of Linn Hansén’s book Przejdź do historii. Since 2015, she has been co-creating the programme of the Gdańsk Literary Meetings “Found in Translation“. At the Polish Literary Translators Association, she was president of the Jerome Lion Award jury in 2016-2018, and since October 2017 she has been the association’s president.
