Marek Baraniecki

(born in1956), novelist, essayist, translator, literary historian.In 2012, he won the Nike Prize for his collection of essays Książka twarzy (The Book of Faces).In 2023, he won theJ.Tuwin Award for lifetime achievement, and in 2025 he received the City of Warsaw Award.He has recently published Rondo Wiatraczna (Wiatraczna Roundabout, 2025).
