Marta Streker

graduate of the Puppetry Department of the Wrocław branch of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow. She debuted with The Tragedy of Coriolanus by William Shakespeare at the Wojciech Bogusławski Theatre in Kalisz (premiere: October 2016). In June 2017, she directed her second repertoire performance DRYL (Wojciech Bruszewski, Teatr Powszechny in Łódź). In 2018, she worked at the Nowy Theatre in Warsaw as an assistant on the production of Biblia 3 directed by Michał Zadara. Her other achievements include performances: Zdziczenie obyczajów pośmiertnych (Bolesław Leśmian, Jan Kochanowski Theatre in Opole), Szpak Fryderyk (Rudolf Herfurtner, Municipal Theatre in Gliwice), Spólnota (Układ Formalny Theatre), as well as Wichrowe Wzgórza non-fiction (‘Wuthering Heights Non-Fiction’) from a text by Agnieszka Wolny-Hamkało. In May 2019, the premiere of Leszek Kolakowski’s 13 Fairy Tales from the Kingdom Lailonia took place at the Puppet and Actor Theatre in Wałbrzych, and a month later the preview of the play Leśni. Apocrypha was performed at the Polish Theatre in Wrocław. Assistant to Michał Zadara on performances of Forefathers’ Eve (Adam Mickiewicz, Polish Theatre in Wrocław, premiere: 2014-2016) and Robbers (Friedrich Schiller, National Theatre in Warsaw, premiere: 8 May 2014). Assistant to Krystian Lupa on the Wrocław production of The Trial (Franz Kafka, Polish Theatre in Wrocław). Second director of the production of Adam Mickiewicz’s Forefathers’ Eve, Part III (2015) and Adam Mickiewicz’s Ustęp (2016) at the Polish Theatre in Wrocław (directed by Michał Zadara). She collaborated as a director of activities on a scenographic model for the production of Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage and Her Children at the National Theatre in Warsaw (directed by Michał Zadara, premiere: November 2016).
