Marysia Nikitiuk

(b. 1986) – a Ukrainian writer and film director from Kyiv. She worked as a journalist and theatrical critic. She is an author of novels, theatrical plays and screenplays. In 2007, she founded an online drama website teatre.com. Films based on her texts have been shown at many prestigious festivals, e.g., in Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand, Yerevan, Odessa or Cannes. Her first book consisting of a series of 10 stories Безодня (історії судного дня) [An Abyss (Tales from Judgement Day)] was published in 2016. Her next book Книга баванок, або історії чарівного Тойто [Tales from Magical Tokyo] will come out soon.
