Michał Bzinkowski
Born in 1975 in Krakow; classical philologist, neohellenic scholar, lecturer at the Faculty of Classical Philology at Jagiellonian University, essay writer, translator of modern Greek literature. He has translated, among others, poetry of: Jorgos Seferis, Konstandinos Kawafis, Janis Ritsos, Takis Sinopoulos. He has published texts in such magazines as: Przekładaniec, Nowy Filomata, and in the book Od Parnasu do Olimpu. Przegląd greckiej literatury współczesnej [From Parnassus to Olympus. A Review of Contemporary Greek Literature] (2004). He was nominated for the European Poet of Freedom award for his translation of Pandelis Boukalas’ Rimata [Verbs] (2013).
