Michał Olszewski
a journalist, publicist and prose writerjournalist, publicist, prose writer. Since 2007, he has worked for Kraków’s local edition of Gazeta Wyborcza; previously head of the reportage department at Tygodnik Powszechny. He made his debut as a writer in 2003 with the book Do Amsterdamu (To Amsterdam). Author of many books and publications, including Chwalcie łąki umajone (Pray the Blooming Meadows, 2005), Low-tech (2009) and Zapiski na biletach (Notes on tickets, 2010), for which he was nominated for the Gdynia Literary Award. His literary reportage Najlepsze buty na świecie (The Best Shoes in the World, 2014) was prized with the Ryszard Kapuściński Award. In 2017, he published a novel #Upał (#Heatwave).
