Ołeksandr Myched

(born in 1988) - Ukrainian writer, member of the PEN Club. Author of ten books, including the acclaimed essay Zmieszam z węglem twoją krew, which was ranked among the best books of 2020 by the BBC. For his next book, Krypta dla Hioba, he was awarded the Yuri Shevelov Award. The book was also ranked among the fifty best books of 2024 by The Telegraph. Finalist of the Joseph Conrad-Award in 2024. He has published in The Financial Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and The Guardian, and has been a guest on CNN and NPR. Participant in literary residencies in Finland, USA, France, Iceland and Latvia. He lives in Kyiv. After the Russian invasion began, he was conscripted into the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
