Rebecca Solnit

(born in 1961) is a writer, historian and activist, author of more than twenty books on feminism, social upheaval, and Western history. To date, four collections of her essays have been published in Poland: Men Explain Things to Me, Wanderlust : A History of Walking Hope in the Dark: Untold Histories, Wild Possibilities, and The Mother of All Questions. Her latest book, Orwell's Roses, will be released in October. Her pieces are published in The Guardian. She also servers on the board of Oil Change International.
