Sławomir Paszkiet
Graduate of Dutch Studies in Wrocław. He was the head of the Centre of Dutch Culture at the University of Wrocław, a cultural and press attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Warsaw, and the director of the Office of the Polish Book Chamber, among others. He has been promoting Dutch culture in Poland for years. As the vice-president of the TERPA Foundation for the Protection of Shared Cultural Heritage, he tries to preserve the traces of the Hauländer settlement in Poland and Polish heritage abroad. Translator of Dutch literature by avocation. He is a member of the Association of Literary Translators, where he takes actions to ensure the due status of the author of a translation, whose significant role in the propagation and assimilation of foreign literature in the native language is too often underestimated. Doctoral student at the UNESCO Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication of Jagiellonian University.
