The world teaches us that we must act, achieve, and win. Weakness is an insult, idleness – a sin. And yet in history, as in individual lives, there are moments when stopping, relinquishing, or admitting one’s own powerlessness becomes the beginning of something new. Within fragility and powerless lies a peculiar strength – the possibility of stepping outside imposed rules. “I can’t” does not have to signify conceding defeat. Might weakness be perceived not as a deficit, but as another way of existing in the world?
