This year, for the first time ever, the full Goncourt Award Jury – all ten members – will deliberate during the Conrad Festival. In Krakow, the Jury will decide on the final selection of books and announce a short list of four titles at a special press conference – the four books that will compete for this year’s Award. Attendees can also expect a meeting with the festival audience, during which we will talk about what kind of literature should receive awards these days. The Goncourt Award events are connected with the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Goncourt Award, presented by Romance Studies undergraduates – the announcement of its winners, organised by the French Institute, has been part of the Conrad Festival for many years.
Free tickets will be available for download from October 16, 2023 on the KBF:BILETY and KBF: PLUS application.
