Joseph Roth and the empire at the edge of agony. Discussion with Elżbieta Jogałła, Małgorzata Łukasiewicz and Joanna Ugniewska.

Joseph Roth is considered the last "chronicler” of the decaying Austro-Hungarian empire. Anyone who considers him an archaic writer, whose works belong only to an irrevocably bygone era would be very wrong, however. Authors of this class do not limit themselves only to their times, and on top of that history likes to repeat itself. It appears that today, a hundred years later, we are again faced with the end of an era.

Discussion: Elżbieta Jogałła, Małgorzata Łukasiewicz, Joanna Ugniewska
