On the prose of Leopold Buczkowski. Mini-lecture by Ryszard Nycz
Leopold Buczkowski (1905-1989) is one of the most original Polish writers of the 20th century, author of Czarny Potok - a poignant tale of war and memory. His work, full of fragments, fractured voices and violent images, continues to amaze with its modern form. On the 120th anniversary of Buczkowski's birth, Prof. Ryszard Nycz will talk about why his prose remains relevant and how it teaches us to look at history in all its complexity.
