The fundamental question that was posed in the realisation of Othello was the question of tolerance and its borders. Whether ideal mythical love stands a chance. For it turns out that in contemporary, theoretically tolerant, world, the relation to Other and its Otherness is a problem.
The Shakespeare drama condensed by the director, Maciej Sobociński, like a laboratory study of various human attitudes, follows the genesis of evil and attempts to find the border of good, show the colours of love. Today’s Othello speaks of demons, which arise in even the most noble minds.
