PIKowy Laur Competition Gala

Lecture: Bernadetta Darska

The 14th edition of the PIKowy Laur competition organised by the Polish Book Chamber takes place in 2025. Prizes will be awarded in three categories:

    - PIKowy Laur for the promotion of reading and the presentation of books for adults. 

    - PIKowa Laurka for the promotion of reading and the presentation of books for children and youth.

    - Special Prize - an award for the most interesting phenomenon, event, or campaign in the area of reading promotion.

 

The winners will receive statues designed by Prof. Bronisław Chromy and financial prizes donated by the Association of Authors and Publishers Copyright Poland. 

 

The jury of the 14th edition of the PIKowy Laur competition features: Magdalena Hajduk-Dębowska – chairwoman (PIK), Grzegorz Majerowicz (PIK), Anna Nowacka-Devillard (PIK), Prof. Bernadetta Darska (UWM, blogger), Dr Michał Zając (UW), Barbara Jóźwiak (SAiW Copyright Poland), Anna Nasiłowska (SPP), Grzegorz Piątek (UL).

 

This year's PIKowy Laur gala will take place as part of the Conrad Festival and the International Book Fair in Krakow. It will also feature a lecture Radical Hope - Choice or Necessity? Contemporaneity Told in Reportage, given by Prof. Bernadetta Darska.
