After the legends of the Knights of the Round Table comes the Occitan song of deed.
France in the Age of the Crusades. Heresy, magic and monsters run rampant in the country. George of Montoliu, a boy with a pure heart, becomes a knight who will not betray his ethos for anything. He stands up for the religiously persecuted Cathars and embarks on a heroic expedition where he will learn the evil of men, the power of the beasts of hell, the shy pleasures of love and the bitter taste of betrayal.
Guided through the labyrinth of the Zodiac, he will wander among phantoms, desires and longings with sword in hand - uncertain from which side the blow will fall. For in songs and epics, great deeds are always associated with the verdict of the stars.
Synastria resurrects medieval legends using a historical setting. It is written with glibness, wit and sensitivity and as such, it will appeal to all those who wish to lose themselves in the adventures of Arthur's successors, Lancelot and Guinevere.
