The Conrad Award is one of the most prestigious Polish literary prizes. The goal of this award, presented every year during the Conrad Festival to the author of the best prose debut, is to support writers. After publishing their first book, they usually have to face the limits posed by the editorial market. The Conrad Award aims at shedding light on fresh voices in literature, and thanks to its financial component - it supports continuing creative work. We have planned a meeting with our five nominees in order to let them speak in their own words about their books - and to establish contact with the audience, who co-decides about the verdict.
